Having an Eel as a Friend
The Banda Sea, located between the Philippines, Papua New Guinea, and Australia, is home to a particularly friendly Moray Eel (which is interesting because Moray eels are not known for their friendliness). Scuba diver Valerie Taylor’s persistence to interact with the eel have earned her a unique friend and a lasting relationship. There's good reason why the eel had a hard time trusting a human and I think we're lucky to have witnessed this mutual respect between man and beast.
